She added, “Every part of my body is in agony … My head hasn’t stopped pounding in two days to the point where I’m throwing up and nothing can fix it.”

Professor Catherine Bennett, from the Chair of Epidemiology at Deakin University, told Daily Mail Australia that Covid restrictions combined with unusual weather are responsible for the 87,989 flu cases reported earlier this season.

dr Bennett added that low flu shot rates after mass Covid vaccination programs could mean people get sick more often.

“After two low flu seasons, actually virtually no season in 2021, we don’t have the usual cross-immunity from recent exposure,” she said.

Rebel announced her new romance with girlfriend Ramona Agruma on Instagram last week after learning The Sydney Morning Herald would be running a story about the couple.

Speaking on her podcast Life Uncut on Tuesday, the former Bachelor star said: “Rebel is a really good friend of mine. We’ve been friends for a while. I love her, respect her. She is an incredible woman.

“The irony – in 2022 – is imagining getting mad at someone who has chosen to tell their own story about their relationship on their own social media,” the 34-year-old continued, referring to the journalist Andrew Hornery, who published the story in the press.

“And you have the audacity, sir, to write an article that says, ‘Who do you think you told your own story?’

It came after Sydney Morning Herald columnist Andrew Hornery apologized for the “tone” of his controversial Rebel Wilson article, published on Sunday, in which he complained that the star was changing his information about her same-sex relationship relationship gaped.

In his apology on Monday, Hornery insisted it was never his intention to “cause pain” by contacting Rebel, 42, about her romance with Ramona Agruma.
