Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch found themselves in trouble on Tuesday when a couple tied the knot during a Krispy Kreme drive-thru wedding on Valentine’s Day.

Lovebirds Wesley and Veronica sat in the back of a white Cadillac convertible, which they drove through the store’s driveway in Liverpool, Sydney, to a grocery pickup window where a licensed celebrant helped them exchange vows.

Channel Seven reporter Katie Brown was on hand and explained how the couple had their first date at this very location eight years ago.

‘They met here in Liverpool eight years ago,’ Katie said.

“They have four beautiful daughters who were part of their marriage proposal. And of course Veronica said yes, so here she is today.”

Back in the studio, Natalie Barr, David Koch, Mark Beretta and Edwina Barthlowmew howled with laughter as Wesley told his blushing bride that he loved her more than his three favorite footy teams during their vows.

“I love you more than Aston Villa, Manly and the Phoenix Suns combined,” Wesley said as the hosts burst out laughing.

“You are my best friend, my accomplice and my soulmate.”

“Wes, I knew from the first day we met that you were the one. I’m so grateful, not only for the love you show me, but for how much you love our girls,” Veronica said.

“You’re always there for her for advice, support and especially bad dad jokes.”

The couple then exchanged rings on the back of the vintage car before kissing to seal their love.

Wesley and Veronica climbed out of the car and reunited with their family and four daughters as they prepared to cut the “cake” — a tower of flavored Krispy Kreme donuts.

The newlyweds’ daughters later explained to Katie Brown how they attended her parents’ marriage proposal.

“So we just hid behind the couch and waited. We’ve had a lot of false alarms. And then we finally saw her come in and we just got up and…yeah,” one of the daughters recalled.

They also explained that Veronica already said yes before Wesley even had a change to open the engagement ring box.

The unique wedding will take place on Tuesday as part of Sunrise’s Valentine’s Day special.

“Their vows were so personal and it meant so much to them,” host Natalie told Kochie in the studio.
