Storm: Highway 20 closed in Lévis

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Bellechasse, Côte-de-Beaupré – L’Île d’Orléans, Lévis, Lotbinière, Portneuf, Quebec, Saint-Lambert and Valcartier – Stoneham. Between 15 and 25 centimeters of snow are expected by the end of the day.

Road conditions are particularly difficult near the river, where visibility is sometimes nil. The accumulation of snow on the ground made some roads impassable.

A sign indicates that the road is closed. The cars are completely covered with snow and visibility is limited.

The Île d’Orléans bridge was closed in both directions at around 12:30 p.m. He was unavailable for over an hour. Wind gusts are particularly strong in this area. Environment Canada recorded one at 87 km/h.
