Upcoming housing sentiment data on Wednesday
The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index is due to release February housing sentiment numbers on Wednesday.
The index measures three components: current sales, sales expectations and buyer traffic.
Builder sentiment in the single-family home market posted an unexpected surge last month, rising for the first time in 12 straight months. Economists had predicted a slight decline. The metric is currently at 35.

Stocks making the biggest moves in extended trading
Here are a few of the stocks making the biggest moves after the bell:
- Airbnb – Airbnb’s shares rose 10% after the company released fourth-quarter results that beat analysts’ expectations. The company reported earnings per share of 48 cents, up from the estimated 25 cents, according to consensus estimates by Refinitiv. Airbnb generated $1.90 billion in revenue, up from the $1.86 billion forecast.
- Devon Energy – Shares of the energy company fell 5% after the company’s disappointing fourth-quarter earnings report. Devon reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.66, below analyst consensus estimate of $1.75, according to Refinitiv. Earnings also fell short of Wall Street’s expectations.
