Spencer Matthews has revealed he regrets the famous scene in which he and Louise Thompson broke up at Made In Chelsea, saying: “I’m embarrassed.”
In one of the Channel 4 show’s most memorable moments, the reality TV star-turned-businessman, 34, met Louise on Putney Bridge, where they explosively ended their relationship after Spencer’s cheating came to light.
During the very heated shouting match, Spencer told the now 32-year-old influencer, “It’s very hard to respect you when you allow me to cheat on you.”

Reflecting on the scene, Spencer explained on Elizabeth Day’s How To Fail podcast that the couple had actually broken up privately the night before and were then told by the producers to meet up the next day.
He said: “So I had actually broken up with Louise the night before and I told her about the next scene and she walked in steaming hot and broke up with me instead and I was like ‘this isn’t real anymore!’
“At the time I was a heavy drinker and the winds changed and our relationship was very toxic at the time and it meant we had a huge screaming match which I really regret.

“You know we’re not friends, but I don’t have any hard feelings towards her. I wish her all bets, but it’s a shame I yelled at her like that because I’m embarrassed. But if I hadn’t told her the night before, it would have been different.
“I would have broken up with her and she would have reacted differently, but actually she came in and knew what the scene was about. So it wasn’t real.’
He continued with the show in general: “I hate being known as Spencer from Made In Chelsea, I hate it. I don’t like reality TV. I am ashamed and ashamed of some of my actions, I wish I had cared about what people thought of me at the time.

“I was acting in a way that was a bit shocking and I thought it was funny at the time, but the guys thought it was cool. But actually it was a bit shit.
“But if I was a nice guy, I wouldn’t have been on the show at the time. The worse you behave, the bigger you are on the show, and I wanted to be the biggest.
Spencer and Louise flew on and off for the first few seasons of Made In Chelsea before finally calling it quits in 2013.

Viewers saw the couple split in acrimonious fashion after ladies man Spencer admitted to cheating on the little brunette on multiple occasions, including sleeping with another girl in Louise’s own bed.
Louise quickly dated MIC co-star Andy Jordan, while womanizer Spencer quickly developed another doomed relationship with Lucy Watson.
Spencer is now married to Irish TV presenter Vogue Williams and the couple have three children together: Otto, seven months, Theodore, four, and daughter Gigi, two.
Louise is now engaged to personal trainer Ryan Libbey and the couple will welcome their first child Leo in 2021.

During the podcast chat, Spencer opened up about Made In Chelsea and discussed his decision to leave the show after five years.
He said: “MIC was great fun back then, it was original, it was interesting to do at that age. But you grow and develop like any job and it may not fit as well anymore, people change and they move on.
“I loved MIC at first. They sat in a scene and didn’t really know what was going to happen.
“But then my character changed very significantly and by then I had enough of it. No one lives a dramatic life in the way we’ve been told to portray drama – I like to avoid drama! I do not want it.
“I look black and was very produced, the result is written into the scene before you even get into it – so I thought what’s the point .
“I was just over it, but it took five years!”
Spencer left the show in 2015 after securing a spot on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
