Sophie Scott is ready to see her boyfriend Mac Jones back in action.
The girlfriend of the Patriots’ sophomore quarterback posted a sweet couple shot from training camp on Instagram Sunday as New England prepares for its first preseason game Thursday against the Giants.
“Year 2,” Scott gushed.

Jones, 23, who has been with Scott for nearly three years, helped guide New England to a playoff appearance in 2021 as a rookie. And while the Patriots hope to repeat last season’s magic, alarm bells have been ringing regarding the offense ever since.
Patriots insider for NBC Sports Boston Tom E. Curran noted on twitter that the team’s No. 1 offense was “shockingly bad” in training camp.
“Let stuff go. Abandoned Games. wannabe sacks. Distress throws themselves into traffic just to get the ball out,” Curran continued Monday, later adding, “They’re constantly overwhelmed.”
New England will be without longtime offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels this season after he left as Raiders head coach in January. Jones and offense are now working with Matt Patricia, who returned to the Patriots in 2021 after a brief stint as Lions coach.

Patricia called up the offensive plays during training camp while holding the titles of Senior Football Advisor and Offensive Line Coach. He previously served as the Patriots’ defensive coordinator from 2012 to 2017.
Despite a challenging start, Jones preaches patience as the offense learns its new scheme.
“I am going to find that out. I have always. I always will,” Jones told reporters on Tuesday. “At the end of the day you’re going to have your ups and downs with everything new… I think we’re close to a lot of things. It’s only that 2% that we need to fix.”
Jones threw for 3,801 yards in 17 regular-season games last year, along with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
