A woman who admitted she “hardly contained her anger over the sacking” was caught on surveillance camera smashing hundreds of wine bottles in an Argentine supermarket.

Evelin Roldán was fired from her job at the Polo supermarket in Rafaela, Argentina, on Monday.

The 25-year-old had a discussion with the shopkeepers that got so heated they called the police. Roldán then cleared out several wine racks and threw the bottles across the island floor.

She was later arrested.

Roldán defended her actions, which sent her into a “state of anger,” claiming the video — which is just eight seconds long — doesn’t reveal everything, according to a statement from local media.

“I hope to have a place where I can tell the other side of the conflict as they did when they sent videos and incomplete information and pretended not to know at all what happened,” she wrote.

Roldán said she lost her temper and vandalized the supermarket because her old bosses treated her cruelly while they were employed.

She stated that she was “blinded with anger, anger at the injustices I was experiencing inside, accepting the abuse, the challenges, the humiliation and even ‘slaps’ or insults” for fear of not losing her job.

Roldán added that one of the owners who hired her fired her “without reason,” ignored me, and drove me out of the job without even giving me a reason. ‘

She further conceded that she clearly did it “wrong”, adding: “I was a good employee, respectful, always available because from cleaning the floors to cutting cold meats or serving a box, I have everything with me done with great enthusiasm.”

Roldán has vowed to take legal action against her employers.

“Injustices are sometimes not seen on the other side, and all of those things played against me when I responded,” she said.

“Right now, I wanted the people who saw the video and spoke their minds without knowing it to know that there are a lot of things behind a major breakdown like this.”
