Sherbrooke: two sixties arrested for drug trafficking

The Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS) and the Memphremagog Police Board arrested two people in their 60s following a search related to drug trafficking.

The operation took place at a residence selling narcotics on Rue Galt Ouest, near Rue Saint-Pierre, Sherbrooke Police said.

The two suspects, aged 62 and 64, were released with promises to appear soon and face criminal and criminal charges.

They are specifically charged with possession of illegal cannabis for sale, concealment, possession of methamphetamines and contraband tobacco.

During the search, officers seized cannabis, methamphetamine pills, hashish, 89 crayons, more than 325 contraband cigarettes and $880 in cash.

The SPS had already carried out a search at this location in October 2021, it said.
