The film The Neverending Story was released in Brazil on October 5, 1984. In the plot, a young man named Bastian finds a book that talks about a magical place called Fantasia.
In him, destruction has taken over everything and only a human can save him. The film grossed $100 million at the box office and became an ’80s classic.
Among the characters in the cast was child Empress. She was played by the actress Tami Stronach. Born in 1972, the star is currently 50 and has a daughter by the name Maya Steinbrunner.
Her entry into the Story Without End cast came while the star was working on a play in San Francisco. She was approached by the film’s casting director, who asked her to audition for the character of the Empress.
After attending three auditions, Tami was cast to play the lead in the 1984 classic. The actress also pursued dancing, beginning in 1996 with Neta Pulvermacher and Dancers.
After about 37 years away from the big screen, she returned in the fantasy film Man & Witch, which also starred her husband Greg Steinbruner.
During an interview with Vice (Via: Rolling Stone), Tami revealed why she stopped acting for a while. According to the star, her parents were unwilling to manage her career and this caused her to miss several roles.
