Shakira is building a wall between her home and that of her exmotherinlaw Montserrat Bernabeu, Piqué’s mother, says Spanish website Marca. After the release of her new song “Music Sessions”, the singer wants to finally separate from her exhusband’s family.
Even after the divorce, the Colombian continued to live in the couple’s old house, which is on the same property as the player’s mother. According to the website, moving to Miami with the children has been postponed due to his father’s health condition.
According to the newspaper, construction machinery has been seen on Shakira’s property and she is said to be building a wall to separate the two properties, which are linked by common areas.
Notably, in a snippet of the song, Shakira mentions the fact that her exmotherinlaw is her neighbor. “You left me the motherinlaw as a neighbor with the press at my door and a debt to the farm,” Shakira sings.
