The sequence also won its first poster showing the Carpenter sisters (Melissa Barrera and JAnna Ortega) prominently above veteran characters like Gale (Courtney Cox) and Kirby (Hayden Panettiere):
In the sequel, four survivors leave Woodsboro after the final deaths caused by Ghostface and begin a new chapter. In the feature, Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmine Savoy Brown (Mindy MeeksMartin), Mason Gooding (Chad MeeksMartin), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers) also return to their characters in the franchise on the side Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving.
It’s worth remembering that Courteney Cox is the only actress from the classic Scream cast to be returning for the new sequel. Also joining the cast is Hayden Panettiere (returning for the first time after Scream 4). Directors of the fifth film, released in 2022, Matt BettinelliOlpin and Tyler Gillett will command Panico VI which has a script from James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
Scream VI starts up March 9, 2023.
