Scream VI returns Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed, a Scream 4 survivor, and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, an investigative reporter.

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is not part of Scream VI.
New cast members for Scream 6 include Samara Weaving, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Devyn Nekoda.
The sisters have a personal history with one of the first Ghostfaces, Billy Loomis (played by Skeet Ulrich).
They narrowly survive the onslaught of the new Ghostface Killers, which pushes them to leave Woodsboro behind.

Ghostface seems to be a popular costume choice, as several revelers can be seen in the character’s iconic hood and mask.
However, one of them is showing clear signs that he’s someone other than just a party-goer dressed up for a night on the town.
As the lights flicker on the subway, the foursome notice a Ghostface moving closer and closer to them.

However, Neve revealed in an interview with Deadline earlier that year that she turned down an offer to return for Scream VI because she felt the money wasn’t enough.
“As a woman, I’ve had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my worth, especially when it comes to Scream,” she said.
“I felt like the offer I was presented didn’t match the value I brought to the franchise,” the 49-year-old actress explained.
She has been inseparable from the franchise, which has grossed over $744 million worldwide, according to Hollywood trade.

Neve later told People that “if they came to me with a number that felt right, that felt respectful, that matched my value that I brought to the franchise, I would be willing to consider later.” return for a potential screaming film.
On the other hand, Nashville actress Panettiere will return to the Scream series as the Kirby she previously played in Scream 4.
A few months ago, Hayden announced that she called the creators of Scream VI to bring her back into the franchise.
Despite not being in the fifth film, Hayden managed to pull herself back in for part six, and in July she told Good Morning America how.
“I called them myself and I was like, ‘So you guys don’t happen to want to bring Kirby back, do you?’ I did. I really wanted to be there!’ she spills.
