On the latest episode of the Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast, host Savannah Chrisley opened up about how she’s been doing since parents Todd and Julie reported to jail on January 17.

The Chrisley Knows Best stars, who were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in June, are serving a total of 19 years behind bars: 12 years for Todd at Florida’s Federal Correctional Institution Pensacola and seven for Julie at Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.

“Last week was an extremely difficult week for my family as a whole and for each of us individually,” Savannah said at the show’s helm. “We kind of had to say goodbye to my parents, you know, for a while, for the foreseeable future, and that was really, really, really hard, and I haven’t done a podcast since. The podcast that’s airing today and you’re watching was filmed before my life fell apart.”

She explained that the episode, which was taped on January 12, Julie’s birthday, did not reflect the turmoil that is now going on in her personal life.

“It might seem happy, and during that time I think it was because there was a lot of hope,” she said. “And I wasn’t faced with the reality of the situation. So I just wanted to kind of throw that in there to address that, because I know a lot of people are going to be like, ‘Whoa, what’s that?’ and that was kind of before the collapse of life. And now podcasts I do in the future will be post.

Savannah said the next episode will be an investigation into other family members.

“Next week I’m going to have a very intense one on one podcast with myself to give an update on where my life is, where things are, how the kids are, nanny, all of the above, so… and give an update.” about my parents,” she said. “Because you don’t have one yet and I’m really excited to give this update because I’ve seen God work in the craziest of circumstances.”

The story goes on

She also expressed her gratitude to those who stood by the reality TV family.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, my family and Unlocked,” said Savannah, who has taken custody of 16-year-old brother Grayson and their niece Chloe, who is 10 and was raised by Todd and Julia.

The couple have since maintained their innocence and their lawyer has announced that they will appeal.
