Sitting in her parked car, Sarah joked about the life-saving equipment that looked like it could “shoot lasers and missiles.”

“I look like s***,” she began, “I had my first radiotherapy today, I’m actually very tired but I don’t know if it’s because of the radiotherapy or lack of sleep or life in general.”

Sarah, who is open about her struggles with menopause, said she hasn’t slept because of severe hot flashes.

She explained: “It is [radiotherapy] OK, you have to lie really still with your chest out. The machine looks like something is firing a rocket.

The TV personality went on to say she asked a nurse how much the equipment was worth and was stunned when she was told the £3million price tag.

“It looks like it’s launching a laser.”

It is most commonly delivered in the form of rays aimed at a tumor, so powerful that the energy destroys the flesh it is aimed at.
