Samuel Crail released from police custody and released under judicial supervision

His arrest made headlines two days ago. Samuel Crail was finally released earlier in the evening after 48 hours in police custody. Free for just 3 days… Samuel Crail fights justice once again…

The 45-year-old man, who had been detained in Fond Sarail prison in Baie-Mahault for more than six months, was released last Tuesday (2 August) after a hunger strike due to poor health and placed under judicial control on a number of conditions. In particular, the ban on holding or carrying a weapon, which, if necessary, must be handed over to the clerk of the Pointe à Pitre court…

After his release, Samuel Crail was arrested Friday night on charges of assault with a gun and threats to kill him, according to Pointe à Pitre prosecutors.

A case that could have had serious consequences for one of these “Big Brothers”, but which is not serious at the moment. The elements gathered so far during the investigation are insufficient to justify his involvement.

Samuel Crail is a free man again tonight while the investigation continues…

He is also awaiting trial for his alleged involvement in the city riots in November and December last year.
