“Russia’s war against Ukraine began and will end in Crimea,” says Zelenskyy

Speaking to the Ukrainian public on Wednesday (10th), President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia’s war against Ukraine started in Crimea and must end in Crimea.

“This Russian war against Ukraine and against all free Europe started in Crimea and must end in Crimea,” said Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian president’s comments came after an explosion hit a Russian military airfield on the Black Sea peninsula.

Bombings in westcentral Ukraine

Russian night raids killed 13 civilians in Dnipropetrovsk in central Ukraine on Wednesday, authorities in the region north of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant said, prompting an exchange of allegations of attacks between Russia and Ukraine.

The night’s attack left 11 wounded, five of them in serious condition, in this relatively safe region, where civilians were being evacuated from further east Donbass, the epicenter of the Russian offensive.

“We had a terrible night (…) It is very difficult to remove the bodies from the rubble,” Governor Valentin Reznichenko said in a message published on Telegram.

“I ask people to go to safe places during the airstrike… Don’t let the Russians kill you,” he added.
