Russian oil supplies to Hungary resume through Druzhba

(ANSA) — ROME, AUGUST 11 — Deliveries of Russian oil to Hungary through the Druzhba pipeline resumed today, Hungary’s Ministry of Technology and Industry said in a statement picked up by Interfax.

“Thanks to the intervention of Hungary, which took care of the transit fee, it was possible to eliminate in a short time the technical problems related to accounting (deliveries). So the deliveries started yesterday and from the night hours the oil has returned to flow continuously from Russia via Ukraine to Hungary via the pipeline,” the ministry said. Despite the supply interruption, domestic consumers “are not threatened because our country has sufficient reserves for several weeks,” he said.
