Roskosmos on Monday for the first time presented the model of the future Russian orbital station during the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2022, which will be held in different regions of the Eurasian country until the 21st.

The orbital station project, to be deployed in two phases, is being developed by space and rocket company Energia, part of Roscosmos, the Russian space agency said in a statement.

The model shows that not only the base, science and power, node and lock modules will be launched into orbit, but also a target module, a production module and a maintenance platform.

The total volume of the station with a crew capacity of two or four people will be 667 cubic meters, including up to 49 cubic meters for the installation of scientific equipment.

Among the new qualities and capabilities of the station, the developers highlight its great capability for specific tasks, the unification of modules, the possibility of interacting with possible satellite constellations and various modes of operation.
