Russia denounces the shipment of radioactive material from Europe to Ukraine in preparation for one "provocation" Notimically

MADRID, February 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Russian Defense Ministry this Sunday denounced the shipment of containers with radioactive substances from a European country to Ukraine in order to prepare a “provocation”.

These radioactive products, which would enter the country without customs controls, could be used to contaminate one of the areas controlled by the “Kiev regime”, Moscow assures in a statement collected by Russia’s TASS news agency.

The plan would be launched ahead of the start of the special session of the UN General Assembly to “accuse the Russian Federation of violating its obligations” under the nuclear safety agreement during its “special military operation,” as Moscow calls it, to military invade Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2021.

This “provocation” is aimed at “blaming the Russian forces” for “indiscriminate attacks” on Ukrainian nuclear facilities, causing a release of radioactive materials and contaminating the area.
