Russia denounces at least 14 dead and 24 wounded in a Ukrainian attack on a hospital in Lugansk

MADRID, January 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday denounced a “premeditated” attack by the Ukrainian army on a medical center in the Moscow-controlled area in the eastern Luhansk region, which left at least 14 dead and 24 wounded.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian attack took place this Saturday around 7:30 a.m. local time with a multiple launch platform for rockets (HIMARS) against a hospital in the city of Novoaidar.

The attack left “at least 14 dead and 24 injured of varying severity among hospital patients and medical staff,” the note said, in which the ministry reiterated that the hospital’s location and operations were known and described as civilian infrastructure.

The Defense Ministry has called the attack “a serious war crime by the Kiev regime” and has called for “everyone involved in the planning and execution of this crime to take their responsibilities.”

The Ukrainian authorities have not yet decided on this charge.
