MOSCOW, July 23 (Portal) – Russia launched a new missile strike against various military targets in the area of the Black Sea port of Odessa in the last day, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported today.
According to the portfolio, the attack was carried out with high-precision, long-range naval and air forces against “facilities preparing terrorist attacks using unmanned boats against Russia and places of their manufacture in the Odessa city region,” according to the Sputnik agency.
There were foreign mercenaries in the hit facilities, the defense agency said, adding that all assigned targets were hit.
Since July 17, Russia has continued to attack ports in southern Ukraine in retaliation for a naval drone attack on the bridge over the Kerch Strait in eastern Crimea.
On the night of June 16-17, a sea drone attack killed a couple on the bridge, injured their teenage daughter, destroyed the road in a section of the structure connecting the peninsula with Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, and disrupted traffic. (Text and photo: PL)
