The host Rodrigo FaroThe 49yearold extended his contract with Record this Wednesday (18) after lengthy negotiations. Tensions behind the scenes arose due to the pay cut responsible for the program “Hora do Faro”, which was cancelled BRL 1.2 million to BRL 600,000 a month. The information comes from the TV News portal.
In the first negotiations, the broadcaster wanted to settle the deal for R$ 300,000. However, Faro did not accept this. There was also another change in advertising revenue.
So far, the moderator has been able to negotiate sales with agencies and companies, as well as a sponsor rate per program and receives 100% of the value. However, the new arrangements will be made through Record’s commercial department.
Even with a salary cut, the presenter can still earn up to R$ 2 million per month with Record with the new contract. However, it depends on merchandising promotions.
Negotiation between Record and Faro
According to Notícias da TV, the negotiations with Faro took place amid a scenario of reducing Record’s viewership. The channel is trying to make changes to win back audiences and consequently get back to recordbreaking revenues.
