Rihanna Says She and A$AP Rocky Didn’t Hire a Nanny After Their Baby Boy Was Born Last May: ‘It Was Just Us As Parents And Our Baby’

Rihanna revealed during an interview with British Vogue published earlier this week that she has not hired a nanny to look after her little boy.

During the meeting, the 34-year-old hitmaker explained that she and partner A$AP Rocky chose not to find a caretaker for their nine-month-old and stayed with him in his early days.

The interview with the actress, who recently spent over half a million dollars on a rental house in Arizona, was published just days after she announced that she was pregnant with her second child while performing at Super Bowl LVII.

Rihanna told the media outlet that after the birth of their boy, she and A$AP Rocky decided to raise their child alone.

“We came home, cold turkey, had nobody. It was just us as parents and our baby,” she recalls.

The Disturbia singer also recalled that she and her partner had a difficult time in their early days as parents.

“These first few days are crazy. You do not sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to…you’re mostly a zombie,” she explained.

The performer commented that she finds the experience of raising a family particularly profound.

“Basically, one person became two. They enter the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s crazy,’ she said.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, 34, first met in the early 2010s and have remained both friends and collaborators for several years.

The couple initially began seeing each other romantically in 2020, although they didn’t publicly confirm their relationship at the time.

The Sundress rapper, born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, later opened up about his affection for his girlfriend in an interview published in 2021.

The singer The Only Girl (In the World) then showed off her baby bump at a photoshoot in New York City in January last year.

The performer also opened up about her relationship with A$AP Rocky and expressed that becoming parents has made them dear to each other.

“We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it made a difference but brought us closer,” she said.

Rihanna also revealed that she became pregnant for the second time during her last Super Bowl performance.

The actress showed off her growing baby bump while belting out several of her hit songs for the crowd and the cameras.
