Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka have ended their seven-year romance due to his desire to start a family, according to a new report.
Just hours after news broke that they had split, a Page Six insider revealed the alleged reasons behind the decision.
According to their sources, the 14-year age difference between Mariah, 54, and Bryan, 40, played a role as they wanted different things.
The insider explained: “He wants to start a family. “That's not where she is.”

Speculation about the split began when the Fantasy hitmaker launched her song “Merry Christmas One and All!” tour in November, but the dancer was absent from her shows, leading to speculation of a breakup.
According to a source who spoke to People, the superstar is also currently celebrating the holidays in Aspen without Tanaka, who usually accompanied her on the trips in the past.
It is the first time in years that the couple, who have been together since 2016, have not traveled together over the Christmas period.
The couple was last seen together in March while celebrating Mariah's birthday. At the time, Bryan posted a photo of him and the superstar on Instagram with an effusive caption.
