Returning to the office working less smart and reopening schools

Returning to the office, working less smart and reopening schools: because September will be a stress test for Covid

Ffp2 mandatory on means of transport until September 30th

It is also worth remembering that after the stop of masks on planes, the Ffp2 remain mandatory on public transport (trains, trams, buses, metro) until further notice 09/30. Mask requirements in hospitals and RSAs have also been extended through the end of the month.

Without a mask at school

Then there is the unknown factor of returning to the classroom, where according to the indications developed by the ISS, masks are no longer compulsory for students, but Ffp2 only for the infirm (staff and students) who risk serious illness. It must be monitored whether giving up the masks can lead to an increase in infections.

Variants updated vaccines in September

The topic of new vaccinations must also not be ignored in order to address possible further waves. The race for the new anti-Covid vaccines has been underway for some time. Although the contagion curve is now steeply sloping, work has begun on the autumn campaign to protect the most vulnerable in the event of another major wave, multiple experts are predicting. Ema, the European pharmaceutical agency, is poised to approve in September the new bivalent vaccines that can induce an immune response against the original virus, known as Wuhan, and also against the Omicron subvariants. It will be clarified shortly whether administration will be offered to those over 50 or over 60.

The new rules are coming soon on the light quarantine

September should finally be the month to test the upcoming new rules (we’ve been talking about this for weeks) on quarantine with reduced times. Today, at least seven days must elapse after a positive smear test before you can return to freedom, provided another test shows that you are negative. But with Omicron 5, many have had no or only mild symptoms and found positive after a few days. The rules should change like this: Anyone who has no symptoms for 48 hours and has a negative smear test, which is always carried out in the pharmacy, at the ASL or by the doctor, can leave the isolation immediately.
