Retired US general says new pandemic statement on ‘predicted timeline’

Two retired US generals, Army MG Paul Vallely and Air Force Thomas McInerney, are sounding the alarm because the World Health Organization has declared monkeypox a global health emergency after the agency’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Valley said that despite the WHO’s statement, people should not be alarmed about monkeypox, which primarily affects gay and bisexual men. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed more than 22,000 cases of monkeypox worldwide as of Friday.

“While the declaration does not impose any requirements on national governments, it serves as an urgent call to action. The WHO can only issue guidelines and recommendations to its member states, not mandates. Member States have an obligation to report events that pose a threat to world health,” Vallely told the Epoch Times.

“Beware of this politically driven global organization funded by the global elite,” he said.

The WHO declared monkeypox an international public health emergency on July 23, with WHO Director-General Adhanom Ghebreyesus saying the virus had spread “rapidly around the world through new modes of transmission about which we understand too little.”

“WHO Director Tedros is not a doctor, he is a Marxist from Ethiopia who has the full backing of the Chinese Communist Party. He lied about C-19 from the start to cover for China,” Valley said.

Republicans in Congress have accused Tedros of siding with China during the pandemic for more than two years.

McInerny said they thought another pandemic was about to be declared.

“They are right on our predicted schedule,” McInerney stated, further emphasizing his opposition to pandemic restrictions.

“We’re not going to follow their guidelines, we have to resist lockdowns… now is the time for America and the world and we the people to say no!” he said. “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!”
