After the search of former US President Donald Trump’s Florida property, several high-ranking party colleagues stayed behind him.
While US Republicans are backing the former US president after the FBI searched Trump’s Florida home, Trump continued to attack the search, calling it a “coordinated attack” by the Democrats.
FBI raids Donald Trump’s Florida home
The FBI searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Monday. The background was apparently Trump’s handling of documents from his tenure. Earlier this year, it became known that the national archives responsible for storing presidential correspondence suspected several boxes with confidential material, among other things, in Trump’s private club. Trump finally turned over several documents to the official in January. Investigators are said to have visited Trump’s estate in the spring to speak with his team about the government documents that were taken, as reported by US media.

Trump scolds US President Biden after search

We are no better than a third world country, a banana republic,” he wrote. He also accused US President Joe Biden of having been informed of the action in advance. The White House has rejected such claims. “The president was not informed and knew nothing about it. … No one in the White House was notified,” said Biden spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre. She declined to comment on the investigation.
US Republicans Support Donald Trump
