Renata Sorrah is asked about Cássia Kis during the party and says “everything there is a horror”

Renata Sorrah gave her honest opinion on Cássia Kis. During the launch party of ‘Vai na Fé,’ a new soap opera at 7 p.m. on TV Globo, the actress answered a question about the other veteran artist who’s been embroiled in recent controversy.

Renata spoke about her return to the small screen after almost five years when asked about Cássia. According to Folha de S. Paulo, she then frowned and didn’t hesitate to photograph what she thought of her professional partner’s attitude. “With no strings attached… A horror. Everything there is a horror,” she emphasized.

During the occasion, her mood soon changed as she commented on Wilma, her character in “Vai na Fé”. “I love everything: Rosane’s lyrics [Svartman, autora] and the ease of casting. My core is full of humor and Wilma has already been defined as a villain, but I don’t think so. She’s fat, completely unfiltered, and hurt by life.”

In the storyline, Sorrah lives as a former actress who begins to see job invitations disappear and discrimination based on age stereotypes on the rise. Because of this, she becomes the manager of her son Lui Lorenzo, played by José Loreto. “She was a celebrity who got older and the roles got harder. A classic example of ageism and although she has support from her son, singer Lui, she thinks he’s cheesy and cheesy (laughs),” she said.

However, Renata is not the first artist to criticize Cássia. In an interview with Portuguese radio RFM last week, Miguel Falabella opened up about the game, assuming he had some regrets and bad memories after working with an actress in previous projects. “What we saw today, the person she’s become… She’s gone. But we were younger and preferred not to see that monstrous, inhuman side,” the playwright said, reiterating how surprised Kis was at his interactions with other humans.

Cássia Kis, a staunch supporter of former President Jair Bolsonaro’s government, has been the target of criticism after being spotted at demonstrations and antidemocracy acts. In videos that have gone viral on the internet, Cidália’s interpreter in “Travessia” has already been seen praying during protests, amid posters calling for “intervention”. The artist also caused controversy with lines about the LGBTQIA+ community and has been accused of homophobia.
