Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s foster son, Jamar Goff, took to Instagram over the weekend to share a birthday message for his foster father, Ladd Drummond.
Goff, 20, who was picked up by the Drummonds in 2018, shared a photo of him with Ree, 54, and Ladd, 54, signing his letter of intent taken in February 2021 to play football for the University of Central Oklahoma.
He thanked his father for taking him under his wing and for all the things he had taught him since living with Ladd and Ree, who has a new television project with her sister.

“I’m blessed with the best father figure I could ask for. The smartest, strongest, most dedicated and devoted man I know,’ Goff began.
“You taught me more things than you know and you still teach me,” Goff added.
“Thank you for everything you’ve done and everything you do. I couldn’t be more grateful for the man I get to call Dad.” Happy Birthday!! Don’t work too hard,” Goff concluded.

Ree and Ladd welcomed Jared in 2018, although prolific blogger Ree said nothing about Jamal until 2020, when she posted an excerpt from her book Frontier Follies on her blog, The Pioneer Woman.
She began by noting that she hasn’t disclosed much about Jamal because “the state agency that handles foster care has strict rules against posting foster children on social media, which is what I get.”
“But mostly, and it’s a bit related, I feel protective of Jamar and always wanted his story to be his own and not fodder for my social media, which is often interspersed with silly videos of my basset hounds slowly getting up running towards the camera movement,” she added.

She also said she wanted to give him time to adjust to the family, but added in the November 2020 post that he’s certainly “an inseparable part of our crazy family” now.
She added that he recently turned 18 and now the restrictions imposed by state authorities no longer apply, adding that she never intended to foster a child, but Jamar was a different story.
“Raising a child was never something that Ladd and I felt called or called to, but Jamar’s circumstances presented themselves to us in a way we couldn’t ignore,” she began.
Adjusting: She also said she wanted to give him time to adjust to the family, but added in the November 2020 post that he’s certainly “an inseparable part of our crazy family” now.

“So, long story short, he showed up to us one afternoon, six-foot-tall, bag in hand, ready to move in many times during high school soccer practice this summer,” she continued.
Ree added that her sons knew him too, but she “on the other hand had never officially met Jamar before that day.”
Drummond also made her acting debut in the 2021 Discovery Plus holiday film Candy Coated Christmas.
