RECRUITMENT: Dwayne Pierce Talks Iowa State-Texas Visit, Ames Staff – CycloneFanatic.com – Cyclone Fanatic

Dwayne Pierce was present for a recruiting visit to the Hilton Coliseum on Tuesday night where the No. 12 Iowa State Cyclones recorded a 78-67 win over No. 7 Texas.

For the 6-foot-5, 190-pound target in the 2024 class, it was unlike anything he’d seen before.

“It was a very interesting atmosphere,” Pierce said. “It’s different from what I’m used to, it was a lot of fun. I met a lot of different people and saw a lot of different landscapes, so I was very happy about that.”

Pierce has offers from Memphis, Florida State, Illinois, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, LSU, St. Johns, New Mexico and George Washington.

The small forward from New York is considered a four-star prospect and #100 overall in the 247Sports class.

He was impressed by the chemistry between the Iowa State coaching staff during his visit to Ames.

“I like how everyone is involved, like the head coach and the assistant coaches,” Pierce said. “All coaches have a say. I feel like all coaches are always positive and that definitely rubs off on the players. It seems like they are all proud to be there.”

Iowa State’s Class of 2024 already has two top 100 prospects and is ranked the No. 4 class in the state as of this writing.
