Ram unveiled the first official images of its future electric pickup truck, the Ram 1500 REV, on Sunday. We are no longer talking about the concept, but about the vehicle, which will go into production in 2024 and be launched in the autumn of the same year as a 2025 model.
At the same time, the company released its Super Bowl advertisement featuring the vehicle. It’s called “premature electrification” since it’s Ram’s first electric truck, but we needn’t remind you that Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Rivian (we dare even add Tesla) are all ahead of us.
Visually, the Ram 1500 REV looks much more conventional than the concept presented at CES in January. However, the characteristic headlights and front grille (including the illuminated RAM emblem) were largely retained, as was the design of the wheels.
Under the hood, which bears the letters “REV”, there is a trunk (with sockets), the volume of which is not yet specified. Ditto for the RamBox compartments on each side of the body. The charging port is located on the left front fender.

The images of the cabin show a decor that is even less spectacular than the concept, but still impresses with a very large central touchscreen arranged vertically and another screen on the passenger side. It leaves a significant number of physical buttons on the UI, which is good news.
Like the F-150 Lightning, the truck can be used as a generator, for example, in the event of a breakdown at home or on the construction site.
