Quentin Tarantino Welcomes Second Baby With Wife Daniella Pick

Quentin Tarantino is now a father of two.

The filmmaker’s wife, Daniella Pick, gave birth to their second child on Saturday.

“Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are pleased to announce that on July 2, 2022, Daniella gave birth to their baby girl, a baby sister to Leo, their first child,” the couple’s rep told People Monday.

In February, it was revealed that Tarantino, 59, was expecting baby No. 2 with the 38-year-old singer.

The couple’s little one joins big brother Leo, 2, who the couple welcomed in February 2020.

The couple “almost” chose a different name for their baby boy, Tarantino told Jimmy Kimmel a year after becoming a father.

“People would assume I named it after Leonardo DiCaprio,” the director explained on his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. in June 2021.

“There’s nothing wrong with that, but I didn’t do it,” he continued. “He’s named after my wife’s grandfather, but also because he was our little lion in our hearts.”

The following month, the Oscar winner got emotional as he described his experience with fatherhood.

“If I talk about it too much, I already start crying,” the new dad said on CBS This Morning in July 2021. “I can’t even see his name on a piece of paper without crying.”

The Tennessee native called the toddler “the most charming person” he’s ever met.

“Half the time I’m looking at him and just laughing because he’s so funny,” he gushed. “And the other time I’m just about to burst into tears.”

The Golden Globe winner, who married Pick in November 2018, noted that his family life “didn’t take anything away” from his career.

“I met her, we fell in love, she wanted to get married and so did I, so I’m married,” Tarantino said of the Israeli model.

The duo’s ceremony in Los Angeles prompted the screenwriter to “take stock” of his life and look at it “from a new angle,” he said at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.

“I never have [gotten married] before and now I know why,” he explained at the time. “I’ve been waiting for the perfect girl.”
