Queen Letizia of Spain once again demonstrated her fashion prowess and frugal style when she attended a meeting with United World Colleges (UWC) at Madrid’s Zarzuela Palace.

Joined by husband King Felipe, the 49-year-old royal mother-of-two opted for a striking patterned dress by Hugo Boss, which she previously wore to the Madrid Book Fair in September 2021.

UWC is a global network of schools and educational programs with a shared mission to “make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future”.

It has 18 schools and colleges on four continents, most of which focus exclusively on the 16-19 age group, including UWC Atlantic College, which Letizia’s daughter Princess Leonor attends.

Following in the footsteps of Princess Elizabeth of Belgium, the future Queen studies at the boarding school housed in the 12th-century Castle of St Donatus, dubbed the ‘Hippie Hogwarts’ in Wales.

Letizia looked typically stylish for the occasion in the Hugo Boss number – a navy blue fitted dress peppered with splashes of bright colour.

She paired it with light fuchsia heels and kept her accessories to a minimum, sporting a subtle pair of gold hoop earrings.
