The event’s organizing committee welcomed the request from the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine in December, but the steps to bring players and coaches together were not easy as they were scattered across Europe due to the war raging in the country.

General Manager Patrick Dom was unable to confirm the presence of the AA-class Ukraine Team Select formation in recent weeks, but that was done on Friday. The team’s 18 members have been granted entry permits and will play their first game on February 11 against the Little Bruins, the tournament confirmed on Twitter.

The 63rd edition of the Tournoi International Pee-Wee de Québec will take place from February 8th to 19th at the Videotron Center and Youth Pavilion.
