Quavo is seen before performing a tribute to his late collaborator Takeoff at the upcoming Grammys

Quavo has made his first public appearance since Takeoff’s funeral as he shops at Prada in Beverly Hills before he will pay a tribute to the late Migos member at the Grammys

Quavo was spotted leaving a Prada store in Beverly Hills on Friday afternoon in what appears to be the first time he has been seen in public since the funeral of his Migos bandmate Takeoff.

The 31-year-old artist’s performance came just two days before his planned tribute to the murdered rapper at the upcoming 65th Grammy Awards.

The late rapper – who eventually became the subject of a tribute from his uncle – was fatally shot during an altercation outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, last October.

Quavo wore a patterned light blue sweater over a black T-shirt on his outing.

The hitmaker, born Quavious Keyate Marshall, also wore black pants and a matching hoodie, along with a pair of bright yellow shoes.

It was announced that the rapper would perform during the Grammy Awards honoring his late nephew earlier this week.

The hitmaker will perform a rendition of his tribute track Without You, which lyrically addresses the loss of his former collaborator.

The rapper will also be joined on stage by the Maverick City Music Choir as he performs the song.

Without You was previously released on January 5, with Quavo announcing its arrival on its various social media accounts.

The rapper also released a music video for the song, in which he was seen smoking what appears to be a joint while listening to the track.

The performer was open about his feelings about Takeoff’s death on Without You, which included emotionally vulnerable lines like “tears are rolling down my eyes / can’t tell you how many times I’ve cried.”

The hitmaker continued, “I wish I had a time machine / Just so you can ride with me / I miss the way you smile at me.”

Quavo also referenced his brief collaboration with Takeoff with the line “Unc and Puh until infinity”.

The late rapper, born Kirsnik Khari Ball, was killed at the age of 31 after being shot multiple times during an altercation that took place in Houston in the early hours of November 1.

Two people suspected of involvement in the hitmaker’s murder were later arrested, one of whom was later released on bail.

The person is currently due to appear before a judge next month.

Several memorials were held for Takeoff following the shooting, with a private memorial to his life being held on November 10.

A much larger public memorial was held the following day and featured artists such as Drake, Justin Bieber and Cardi B.
