“However, on Saturday night our external security failed to exercise reasonable discretion and we accept full responsibility for that. We sincerely apologize to those affected.’

The American singer, 27, and his entourage were denied entry to the chic rooftop bar at the QT Hotel on Murray Street because of his extensive tattoo collection.

Malone reportedly flouted the venue’s strict dress code, which bans “facial, neck and offensive tattoos.”

Malone expressed his disbelief, telling The West Australian, “They turned me down because of my tattoos… I’ve never really experienced anything like it.”

Malone is heavily tattooed, has the words “Always Tired” below his eyes, barbed wire across his hairline, two ace of spades at the corner of his forehead, and a thin sword resting on his cheek.

Ironically, Malone’s tattoo above his forehead features the words “Stay Away.”

After being turned away from the QT Hotel bar, Malone traveled to nearby rooftop bar 18 Knots, where he was granted special access at the discretion of security.

Malone reportedly spent time at the venue mingling with fans and even buying them drinks before relaxing with his group.

Chron Australia has reached out to QT Hotels for comment.

It comes after Malone raised eyebrows during his last show in Sydney when he started flinching and awkwardly fidgeting during a rendition of his hit song I Fall Apart.

Viral footage from the performance shows Malone bizarrely jerking his arms, rubbing his skin and playing with his t-shirt while belting out the lyrics.

Another clip shows the star leaning forward, balancing the microphone on his lips.

Some fans expressed their concern online with a tweet: “I really hope he stays clean. Some movements bother me,” while another suggested, “Maybe it’s like a nervous tic?”

Another wrote: “Looks like he’s scared. I do the same with my shirts when I’m freaking out. I hope he’s fine.

However, others rushed to defend Malone by pointing out that his bizarre moves were nothing new and certainly nothing to worry about.

“He’s always been an animated performer like this. Stop it,” one tweeted, while another added, “So he just plays that particular song.”

“If they were ‘fans’ they would know this is just his live set,” agreed another.
