There are still almost two months until the start of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the preview of the biggest football party is already underway. From the Middle East country, some involved in the World Cup competition have commented on their contenders for victory. One of them was the Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Hassan Al Thawadi.
In an interview with Argentine media Télam, the head of the organization of the competition expressed his desire for Lionel Messi to win the World Cup on December 18, the date of the competition’s final. For the head of organization it would be the last World Cup for the “flea”.
“It would be very special for us as organizers to see Messi lift the trophy at what might be his last World Cup… Messi is a global superstar who will be one of the highlights of the tournament. I’m really looking forward to seeing him play in Qatar.”
