In January, the Duke appeared on a slew of shows including 60 Minutes and Good Morning America, as well as The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote the book.

But after its release, the couple’s popularity on both sides of the Atlantic took a hit.

She reportedly stayed away after being accused of “trying to steal the spotlight” – but even the “media savvy” Meghan may have expressed mild concerns about whether the book was the right move.

Meghan was also noticeably absent from Oprah Winfrey’s birthday party – although the pair were close friends and neighbors too.

Among the many A-listers in attendance were Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Sharon Stone, Rita Wilson, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum, among others.

Spare became the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time on its release day earlier this month, topping sales charts around the world — including in the US, according to the publisher.

In it, Harry made explosive revelations and accusations about members of his family, most notably his brother Prince William, which rocked the House of Windsor.

It has also jeopardized the family’s chance of resolving their differences at Prince Charles III’s coronation later this year.

Imagine Harry and Meghan's pre-release fantasies! They certainly imagined the world behind them, outraged that Harry got the smaller bedroom in Balmoral and that Charles isn't a big hugger, and no doubt agitating for the end of the monarchy while applauding Harry and Meghan for that they endure such suffering so bravely.

Prince Harry’s book, Spare, was released on January 10 and quickly became one of the best-selling non-fiction books of all time, but the impact of the Duke’s book appears to be still lingering

In the memoir, Prince Harry claimed his brother pushed him into a dog bowl during the heated row after he started dating Meghan, leaving him in “pieces”.

He claimed he could tell Prince William he wanted to hit him back, but he refused to do so. He added his brother later apologized.

He also revealed personal details, such as how he lost his virginity to an elderly woman in a field behind a pub.

In his new book, Harry claims members of the royal household are regularly briefed on the press, including for negative articles about Meghan.

Harry has been criticized for sharing private conversations in the book and intimate details about his family members.

However, the prince claimed there are many other details he doesn’t want to reveal because “I just don’t want the world to know,” adding that his family would “never forgive” him if he did .

Harry has since urged his family members to speak to him and apologize to Meghan, although it’s not clear for what.
