Rio singer Preta Gil took to social media this Sunday (30) to update her followers and fans about another phase of her cancer treatment. Gilberto Gil’s daughter is facing a tumor in the intestines, diagnosed in January this year and arriving in Rio this Saturday (29) after a series of tests carried out in São Paulo.

“I’m here after a very important week in my healing process. I went to São Paulo and met the surgeon who will operate on me in the future. I will start my treatment with radiotherapy in a week and oral chemotherapy. I am excited and hopeful with a great certainty that a cure awaits me at the end of this journey,” he said.
The artist was surprised by her sister Bela Gil, who declared that she loves Preta. “Look at the person you are and say you love them, today, here, now,” he concluded. In the video’s caption, Francisco’s mother from his marriage to Otávio Muller left a warning to netizens. “Leave nothing for tomorrow! Speak today, love today, live today! I remain firm and hopeful toward healing! Good week, my dears! I love you,” she emphasized.
