Construction of their £1.4million mansion appears to be complete and builders left the site earlier this month.

The couple, who are currently expecting their third child, purchased the Brentwood property in January 2021 and have spent the last 19 months drastically renovating it.

However, it was not always easy to sail.

The renovation of their dream home has been beset by a variety of issues since work began in January 2021, including major delays and planning disputes with their new neighbors.

They were reported to be “at war” with their neighbors over ongoing renovations.

Last month, Billie and Greg couldn’t hide their excitement after learning that renovations to their dream home were 24 weeks behind schedule.

In scenes aired during an episode of The Family Diaries, the couple were told that workers could not proceed with development until they “started making interior design decisions.”

On a visit to the property, Billie and Greg were greeted by their project manager, Lee, who informed them that the renovation team could not proceed with work on the house until they received guidance on Billie’s interior plans.

Greg explained: “Nobody works because we didn’t give them decisions.

“That’s interior design and he needs to be a little more clear on that and he’s awaiting information from you” before reaching out to Billie.”

Noting the remaining steps in the renovations, Lee told the couple, “It’s basically all we’re going to do, kitchen, housekeeping and stairs, and then we can put everything in place and call in the plasters.”

When Greg asked how far behind schedule they were with the home renovations, Lee admitted they are currently 24 weeks late.

Greg admitted: “Lee has told us before that it’s behind, but I was shocked that he told me it was 24 weeks behind, it’s dragged on long enough and it’s time.

“At this rate, I’ll have the garden ready before you finish the interior.”

It comes after reports that Billie and Greg – who share children Nellie, seven, and Arthur, four – were allegedly “at war” with their neighbors over ongoing renovations at their mansion, which began in January 2021.

According to The Sun, the couple “have stopped speaking to nearby residents” – before they even moved into the property.

Their relationship with their neighbors was considered so bad that they even reportedly splashed a staggering £20,000 on trees to preserve their territory.

Laurel trees, which conveniently grow to between 15 and 35 feet tall, cost £240 each and were reportedly bought to keep eavesdroppers away.

A neighbor told the council: “I am providing my response to the amended drawings for the above property which, whilst I would like it to have had a similar window treatment to bedroom 4 as bedroom 2, I find acceptable in principle .”

They further claimed that if the house “fitted the character of the area,” they “would lend their support,” adding that it would be the largest house on the street.

Last year, Billie admitted she doesn’t speak to neighbors after they opposed the couple’s plans to demolish the original dilapidated home and replace it with a five-bed palace.

Bridges have not been built since they received planning permission in August 2020 and Billie said: “We didn’t see anyone. But it’s just not a good start, is it?’

She added: “The house is so old, whoever wanted to buy it had to renovate it.

“There’s only one neighbor on our side and he had a lot of reasons why he didn’t want us to continue, but it ended up being a bit silly. It has already been a very long journey and there will be even more pressure once the builders start work.’

According to the planning application, all five bedrooms will be on the first floor, with the master bedroom having an en suite bathroom and a huge dressing room. Three of the other ensuite bedrooms have walk-in closets.

Greg has been allowed to add a “man cave” by converting the original garage into a gym and playroom, and there will be a playroom for their two children.

They also add a two-story side extension, individual front and back extensions, and completely redesign the exterior.

Billie admitted in March she wouldn’t have bought the flat had she known what a “headache” it was going to be.

She said: “Now someone else has also told us that we should probably think about tearing down the house and starting over, it’s just going to be one thing at a time.

“We are almost a year old now. It would have been nice to know that six to eight months ago, because if we demolish the house, it means we have to apply for planning permission again and start this process over.

‘I have no regrets about buying the house but if I had known it would have taken over a year to find a contractor I probably wouldn’t have done it because I just didn’t know how long things take.’

Meanwhile, Billie, who is hoping for a Kardashian-style home, revealed to Web: “It’s stressful because we’re juggling like time isn’t on our side at the moment. We work all the time, we have two small children.

“When you film a house and you’re obviously renovating it, it’s like a lot and sometimes it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day.”

When asked what they wish they’d done differently with the build, Greg laughed, “We probably wouldn’t have done it”.

“It feels like forever,” says the blonde beauty, but is confident the whole family will “definitely” move in in time to enjoy their outdoor pool this summer.
