Amel Benali, 26, is currently facing a single aggravated assault charge for allegedly stabbing his neighbor in a block of flats on Rue de Liège Ouest in Montreal yesterday afternoon.

She was arrested by police at around 1.30pm after a witness saw an altercation between her and a man who lives in the same building. In a context that remains nebulous, Benali would have at least stabbed his neighbor in the collarbone. He suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
