Possible femicide in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac: an investigation launched by the CDPDJ

The Commission for Human and Youth Rights (CDPDJ) has decided to launch its own investigation into the situation of children who were at the scene of a possible femicide in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lake on Wednesday.

“In view of the nature of the alleged information in the media, the Commission will investigate under Section 23b) of the Youth Protection Act if there is reason to believe that children’s rights have been violated. The investigation aims to verify whether children’s rights have been respected,” he said in a press release.

The progress of this investigation will not be made public, but systemic recommendations could be disclosed at the end of the incitement.

Recall that the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has opened an investigation into the death of a woman in a conjugal context, during which the lifeless body of Kamila Rodriguez Vital De Queiroz was found.

The children were at the residence during the tragedy. The seriously injured spouse died in hospital.
