Poppy Delevingne shows off her supple legs in a white wool mini dress as she goes braless with Lucy Hale and Romee Strijd at the Balmain presentation during Paris Fashion Week
After the madness of opening night on Tuesday, Wednesday was a comparative walk on the catwalk as Balmain presented its latest collection to a reduced audience at Paris Fashion Week.
A selection of stars from the world of film, fashion and music gathered for the show, which gave the first official look at the French brand’s spring-summer 2024 women’s collection on the second day of the biennial spectacle.
Poppy Delevingne, Lucy Hjød ale and Romee Strijd arrived early at the fashion show and attracted attention as they greeted photographers on the specially laid out blue carpet.
Poppy – the older sister of model and actress Cara Delevingne – opted for a white wool dress, inevitably drawing attention to her chic physique.
The 37-year-old accessorized the look with a pair of matching white stiletto heels, while a tasteful leather handbag continued the neutral color scheme.

Alongside the British model, US actress Lucy, 34, grabbed her own share of the spotlight in a gloved tuxedo top with dramatic plunging detail.
The Pretty Little Liars star completed the look with tasteful cropped pants, while matching black heels gave it a conventional touch.
Meanwhile, Dutch model Romee, 28, looked stunning in an elaborate black leather shirt dress with pleated details – a look she paired with shimmering silver heels and statement earrings.
Other guests of the evening included the 77-year-old pop legend Cher, who arrived on the arm of her much younger boyfriend Alexander Edwards (37).
The veteran star dared to have her own son kidnapped from a hotel room just as he was trying to reconcile with his wife on their wedding day, according to court documents unearthed exclusively by .
Echoes of the 70s can be heard on the Paris catwalks this season, paired with modern fashion elements. While elongated silhouettes and intentionally mismatched styles at Dries Van Noten highlighted a retro influence, Courreges’ futuristic space-age designs offered a counterbalance, letting the past meet the future.
But Balmain lost dozens of pieces after a truck carrying the clothes was hijacked, creative director Olivier Rousteing revealed in September.
Rousteing said in an Instagram post that thieves seized the vehicle containing around 50 items from Balmain’s new collection between a Paris airport and the label’s headquarters in the French capital.

The truck driver was safe, he said.
“We are redoing everything but this is so disrespectful,” he said in his message.
A spokesman for Balmain confirmed at the time that the Paris show would go ahead on Wednesday night but declined to comment on the robbery pending an investigation.
Balmain is controlled by Mayhoola, an investment vehicle backed by Qatar’s royal family.
