In a statement, Nintendo said Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have since “achieved the highest global sales levels for any software on any Nintendo platform within the first three days.” We remember that the game duo was released on November 18th.

This is a respectable record for Nintendo, far surpassing the launch of the Pokémon Sword and Shield games in 2019. The latter sold 6 million copies worldwide on the opening weekend.

Despite the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet editions, the games have pretty much everything Pokemon fans have been looking for. In addition to introducing a new generation of Pokémon, the open world that players are thrown into allows them to choose their own adventures and complete them in their own way. In addition, thanks to the multiplayer function, it is possible to go on adventures with friends.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released on November 18th and are available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
