Charizard and the Favorite Pokémon of Italians, but what about other countries in the world? This features an interesting infographic by EnterTheToyZone, which used Google results to determine who the characters were better known for each individual nation, limited to the first generation.
With over 10 million copies of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sold in three days, it’s clear that the Nintendo franchise remains in excellent health today and is among the most successful, so it was curious to understand how these little local ones are related monsters in zone.
Pokémon, the land map
As already mentioned, Charizard is the favorite of the Italians, but also the English, Irish and Czechs, while in Europe the scenario seems quite different: in France and Luxembourg they are crazy about MewTwo, while in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands most popular it is Lapras.
In Japan, perhaps surprisingly, it’s Eevee who holds the scepter of the most popular (and coveted) Pokémon, but Pikachu is no less, and is the winner in a large number of scattered countries. In general, as can be seen, the classic characters remain of greater international importance.
