Shots were fired in a residential area of Saint-Constant on Montreal’s south coast on Sunday evening.

According to initial information, the police were alerted at around 9:30 p.m. by shots that could be heard on Rue Richer near Montée des Bouleaux.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found shell casings on the ground, but no casualties were found.

So far, no suspect has been arrested, said Jacynthe Laferrière of Roussillon’s inter-communal police department.

The police did not provide any details about the circumstances of the shooting, contenting themselves with stating that the investigation into the file is continuing.
