A man looking for a “hot single mom” has been mocked online after photos of the “creepy” note he wrote for trick-or-treating went viral.
“No matter how much candy you take but if you have a hot single mom leave her number love your dad-to-be,” the man wrote in his clumsy attempt to find love.
And while thousands of people agreed the note was “utterly pathetic,” the would-be Cassanova’s choice of lollipops seemed most offensive.

The man’s bowl was filled to the brim with Starburst minis and tiny packets of LifeSavers, an obvious warning sign of potential dating (or kids-to-be).
“Not with that lolly selection,” said a New Zealand woman after the photo, believed to be from the US, “went worldwide”.
“You might as well hand out raisins and pre-sliced apple slices with this selection,” added another.
“With lollipops like this my kid probably didn’t even read the note properly, she would have just jumped to the next house,” added another.
One mother wasn’t afraid to tell the man exactly what the bar should be when trying to woo his “future children” with sugar.
“If you’re trying to be the father-to-be of a child, maybe you’re breaking out on king-size, or at least Reese’s,” she wrote.
“That wouldn’t work, my kids would get you off lollipops and bail, better off on Tinder,” said one mom.
But others were thrilled with the real-life attempt at dating.

“Damn, I should have sent my kids out,” said one woman.
While another simply commented, “Hot single mom here looking for a hot single dad.”
Some immediately thought of their friends.
“Damn we needed this one I would have left your number or not,” one woman wrote on the photo, tagging a friend.
A young woman thought of her mother.
“Didn’t see that last night, could have gotten a new dad,” she laughed.
Others labeled the joke “old and tired.”
“We’ve been writing notes like this in the US for years, boring,” said one man.
But many insisted they are ready to make a similar note next year.
“I would have better treats though, no children with bad taste will be future children of mine.”
