Péricles demonstrates for the first time after an armed robbery in SP: “It was terrible”

This Friday (17th), Péricles spoke for the first time after being the victim of a robbery in Santo André, in the greater São Paulo area. The singer was with the family when the armed criminals approached. In addition to the car, a gray Land Rover Discovery worth around R$ 300,000, a backpack with documents and bank cards was also stolen.

“We were mugged, it was terrible. But everyone is subject and I’m no better than anyone else. It’s life that goes on, let’s go. God is greater and we know nothing,” he said in an interview with g1.

Péricles stressed the need to “keep going” even after the scare. “Carnival moves us. And the people who came to enjoy it expect the best from us. Carnival is the big festival that everyone looks forward to. And being able to celebrate carnival, after confinement and everything that’s happened, is always the moment for us to lift our heads and say: it’s another moment for us to go ahead and celebrate. The small victories are worth celebrating,” he added.

When he was attacked this Thursday (16), the artist was with his wife Lidiana Faria and their 3yearold daughter Maria Helena. Surveillance cameras recorded everything and the video went viral on the networks.

In the pictures, the musician and family can be seen leaving Pericles’ mother’s house at around 8:30 p.m. when the first man approaches him and points a gun at him. Lidiana and her daughter cross the street while the artist hands the backpack to the attacker. Then Pericles walks away with his hands up and the bandit gets into the vehicle. Another armed criminal also helps the partner create cover in another car. The two cars then flee. Regard:
