Pedro Pascal had plenty to smile about on Friday as he stepped out in Los Angeles after learning his hit HBO series The Last Of Us had been renewed for a second season.

The 47-year-old actor cut a comfortable figure in a bright yellow T-shirt from the LA Lakers’ championship run in 2000.

The Mandalorian star added black athletic shorts and brightly colored striped socks.

Pascal’s new show is only two episodes into its first season on HBO, but critical and fan acclaim has already helped secure a second season.

The announcement came after the show made a record-breaking debut on the streaming service and cable network.

Earlier this month, the showrunners said in a statement, “Our focus was simply to make the best possible adaptation of this beloved story for as wide an audience as possible.

“We are over the moon to see so many fans, old and new, welcoming The Last of Us into their homes and hearts.”
