“What is certain is that the team that won the Memorial Cup with the Radulovs (Alex), Melançon (Mathieu), Desjardins (Cédrick), Sersen (Thomas) occupies a special place. The same applies to our current issue,” added the honoree.

Congratulations from Serge Beausoleil

Océanic head coach Serge Beausoleil congratulated his counterpart.

“He is a big enthusiast who is always well prepared. I congratulate him on his 500th win, but I don’t understand why he doesn’t belong to the pros with his roadmap.

The Oceanic opened the gate

The Remparts dominated the first half but it was the Océanic who scored the first goal after Julien Béland slipped the puck between goaltender Quentin Miller’s pads after a great foray into the opponent’s zone after a second attempt by Julien Béland to reverse his 20th goal of the season to be scored by defender Mathis Gauthier.

The Remparts’ reply came less than a minute later and twice instead of once. James Malatesta (28′) fired into an abandoned goal after Justin Robidas caught three Océanic players including goalkeeper Patrik Hamrla. A minute later, Pier-Olivier Roy spotted Théo Rochette alone in the enclave, who didn’t miss his chance.
